Delicious Banana Bread Recipe

Banana bread

Bananas are my favourite fruit, which means I consider banana bread to be one of the best comfort foods of all time. Banana bread is a frequent staple at family dinners and get-togethers, and is perfect to serve as part of both a brunch or dessert (talk about best of both worlds)! This recipe makes two sizable loaves, meaning it’ll definitely make enough dessert for multiple people, with extra for breakfast leftovers.

For those with a sweet tooth: feel free to add some chocolate chips into the banana bread mixture as well to make it extra delicious!


  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • eggs, beaten

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  1. Grease and flour two 7×3 inch loaf pans. Preheat oven to 350° degrees F (175° degrees C).
  2. Whisk flour, soda, salt, and sugar. Mix in beaten eggs, melted butter, and mashed bananas. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired. Pour into pans.
  3. Bake at 350° degrees F (175° degrees C) for 1 hour, or until toothpick comes out clean.
